Snow in October

October 13, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

It's October and as I say every year, IT CAN'T BE SNOWING ALREADY!!!  Well I got to say it a couple times already and this snow was absolutely beautiful. It had huge thick wet flakes and only lasted for a short time. The most perfect snow there ever could be, in my opinion.  I took advantage of it with quick little photo shoot.  I ran to grab Remmingtyn, threw her coat on and covered my camera. Pure joy is what we got.  I will look back on these photos in a few months when we have blizzard with 6 foot drifts in my yard, and remind myself that snow can be fun.

Beautiful Wedding Day.  These two hold a special place in my heart.

What started off as a HOT HOT HOT July summer day, turned into a gorgeous night, perfect for an outdoor wedding celebration.

Thank you for allowing myself, and the rest of the family to take part in celebration your special day.

Working Cattle

October 01, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

I love working cattle. I get to be outside with the animals instead of laundry (which I LOVE..... sometimes). What I really love most is spending time with the family. At any given time, you'll see 4 generations all working together, having fun, teaching each other, and the older generation setting the example for my kiddos. Robbins Farms and everyone involved with them are truly blessed.

This particular day was awesome. Before the sun was up, I woke up to get ready for the day and got the kids ready.  I had a wonderful neighbor bring the two oldest boys to school for me, in hopes of getting a jump start on the cattle.   It was a beautiful, chilly fall morning and a little sore throat was not going to stop me. Vicks Vapor rub saved the day and out the door we went.

The sun was so amazing and the cattle were very easy going. They loved the camera.

Little Rhogan is still so interested in what goes on and just amazed by the animals. He is learning so much by watching his family.

Once they realized I was taking pictures instead of working, I put my camera down and got to work! :D Everything ran smoothly and the harvest of corn and soybeans consumed the rest of the days' light and some of the moons'.

Chris and Amanda

We were sure blessed to have this session when we did. The entire week before I went out to the Welker Ranch it was windy, like tropical storm windy. Really. The. ENTIRE. Week. We could have rescheduled, but the week following pictures, Tuffy, the cow was leaving the Welker Ranch. We had to get them done so we took a chance and wished for the best. Within the hour of start time, the wind went down to only 20 MPH, and it just keep going down from then on.

Working with animals is really fun. You just never know what to expect. Chris loaded Tuffy, and Amanda loaded her horse.

The he posed!! I could not believe this big guy liked to take pictures!  It was just meant to be!!! He can also answer questions by shaking his head!  I have never had horses so I was pretty impressed.

The animals did really well and I had a blast. Chris and Amanda did great too! We traveled to their pasture and on down the road a way. We were even able to get a few stones in the pictures.    Many wishes to you wonderful couple and soon to be neighbors!

We had such a fun little shoot. We walked around the urban areas of Winner and explored the surroundings.  We found yellow towers, awesome bricks, and some pretty nifty rocks.  I also discovered his love of STICKS!!!
